Information for Artists

Art for Youth Oxford is one of three art exhibitions held in the UK to raise funds for UK Youth. Art for Youth London has been operating for over 20 years and has brought in over half a million pounds for the charity. Art for Youth North is held bi-annually in North Yorkshire.

Art For Youth Oxford

This exhibition was first held in Oxford in 2008 and over £40,000 of art was sold. With the effect of the more difficult economic climate taking hold over £30k of art was still sold in 2009 and just over this in 2010.

70 Artists exhibited work in 2010 and over 90 pieces of work were sold for between £100 and £2,000+ with the average sale being £270.00

Although most work is sold with a 35% donation to UK Youth if artists wish to donate all proceeds from their work to the charity please just let us know.

Mystery Pictures

An opportunity to buy a mini masterpiece. These postcard sized original paintings and photographs are donated and sold artist unknown.

Artists prepared to donate a mystery picture will be sent a pack including paper for their work. Names are only written on the back and kept a closely guarded secret.

Each postcard sells for £30 but the artist's identity will only be revealed after the picture is bought and all proceeds from Mystery Picture sales go to the charity.

If you are unable to exhibit any other work this year, but would still be prepared to send in a mystery picture, please complete the Mystery Picture form instead on the Mystery Picture page.
